It would not be Italy without Miss Cycling!!!

Italy as a country has a fascination with showgirls.  Most of the popular mainstream TV programs have scantly clad woman portraying herself as one of the joint TV hosts. The popularity of these showgirls led to a number of them being elected as politicans in the previous Berlusconi government.  He even appointed one of them as a Minister in his government.

I should not have been surprised to find out that Italy also held a competition to find Miss Ciclismo.  The competition is treated seriously with Pippo Pozzato turning up to give his stamp of approval.  We will find out on 30 November who Miss Ciclismo 2012 will be when they walk down the catwalk with some of the best cyclists in the world in attendance at a gala event.
